Heroic Labs‘ VP Product, Alim Jaffer, is in Montreal to introduce the game developer community to the future of backend services via open-source technology. You will learn what makes Nakama suitable for modern, social games as well as a technical breakdown on how it was architected.
In addition, this is a call to action for the local community to get involved with Nakama – both as users of the technology and contributors. Just as Unity leveled the playing field for building beautiful games, Nakama unlocks social and scalable gameplay for every studio.
This talk is designed for anyone – from technical directors, software engineers, producers, and those who simply want to learn more about what features and technologies one needs to introduce to games to back them massively social and easily scalable.
Alim Jaffer is the VP Product at Heroic Labs – a Y Combinator company. The company has been in the industry for several years now providing consulting and infrastructure services to a variety of studios. He has worked closely with studios whom have achieved millions of monthly active users in their games by heavily taking advantage of socially engaging features and metagame loops created by Heroic Labs.
